Hennessey Performance has officially expanded its popular VelociRaptor lineup with the introduction of the all-new VelociRaptor SUV Expedition, a heavily upgraded version of the Ford Expedition Tremor designed to deliver enhanced off-road capability, rugged styling, and full-size family practicality.

Unlike many of Hennessey’s previous builds that focus on massive horsepower increases, the new VelociRaptor SUV retains Ford’s factory twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 producing 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. Instead, Hennessey concentrated its efforts on improving the Expedition’s off-road performance and trail capability.

Built For Adventure

Starting with the already capable Expedition Tremor, Hennessey adds a comprehensive package of off-road upgrades, including:
  • 2-inch suspension lift
[]Custom off-road suspension tuning
  • 20-inch Hennessey Performance wheels
[]Nitto Recon Grappler all-terrain tires
  • Steel skid plates
[]Brembo front brake system
  • Front bumper enhancements with integrated auxiliary lighting
[]Power side steps
The result is a significantly more capable SUV designed to tackle rough trails while maintaining the comfort and utility expected from a three-row family vehicle.

Aggressive New Styling

Visually, the VelociRaptor SUV receives several exterior updates that separate it from a standard Expedition Tremor. The front fascia gains revised skid plates and off-road lighting, while the traditional “Expedition” lettering above the grille is replaced with bold Hennessey branding.

Black 20-inch wheels wrapped in aggressive all-terrain rubber complete the package and give the SUV a much more imposing stance.

Limited Production

Hennessey says the VelociRaptor SUV Expedition will be produced in extremely limited numbers and sold through authorized Hennessey Ford dealers. Each vehicle receives a serial-numbered plaque and is backed by a comprehensive 3-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty.

Pricing has been announced at approximately $129,950, positioning the VelociRaptor SUV as a premium alternative to the already capable Expedition Tremor.

Final Thoughts

The VelociRaptor SUV Expedition takes a different approach than many modern tuner vehicles. Rather than chasing bigger horsepower numbers, Hennessey focused on making the Expedition Tremor even more capable off-road while maintaining its role as a comfortable three-row family SUV.

For buyers looking for a full-size SUV that can comfortably haul the family while tackling challenging trails and overland adventures, the VelociRaptor SUV may be one of the most unique options available today. (Hennessey Performance)
