I thought I would start a thread for the lessons learned and the Ahaa moments in learning to live with the newest Tremor.

This weekend we discovered that you can use the lower right corner of the left touch pad on the steering wheel to toggle the lane keeping and Blue Cruise function. This will prevent the lane keeping alerts and prevent the vehicle from trying to correct on its own to go back to the center of the lane.
It is also handy when traveling through construction zones and other areas where Blue Cruise might cut out momentarily. There is road construction on my daily commute where BC drops out and the vehicle will suddenly start slowing. Now that I know the area I can disable it for the mile or two of construct without losing the adaptive Cruise control and will maintain speed.

Feel Free to add onto the his thread for the things you've learned an the functionality of this new rig.

I learned that if you push the temp, and slide up, a slider comes up where you can change temps quickly.
I came across that also, but it seems a little awkward to me. I've actually just begun doing the Hey Google and setting the temp by voice.

I really Like how the Hey Google and voice button work. No delay, very little confusion and if I ask for LUV carwashes it pulls them up and lets me pick the one I want.

I learned today that the tremor comes with the Raptor 3.5 EB. Don’t know how I missed that one!

The only other way to get it is with the performance stealth option on the platinum which is a $6500 option.

Yea man,
I knew it had the HO 3.5 but it didn't click that it was the same one in the Raptor engine. LOL look at that we have the first Raptor SUVs
I still wonder what else could be taken from the Raptor or the F150 Tremor on our rigs.

Anyone know if they recommend full synthetic oil for the HO?

I have a 2014 F150 Platinum that I bought new with the gen 1 3.5 Ecoboost and it has never had anything but Motocraft synthetic and filters.
Its got 200k hard earned miles on it now and has never had an issue. Original everything including turbos. No catch cans and no holes drilled in the CAC (that was a fun trend for a little while LOL).

I plan on treating this one exactly the same Motocraft oil and filter, I'm even going to trust the intelligent oil condition monitor and only change oil as it says it's needed. Granted I got a Lifetime unlimited years and unlimited miles power train warranty from my dealer when I bought it.

Now I have heard good things about Amsoil, Mobile 1 and Royal Purple.

I’ve always done the Motorcraft synthetic blend and had no issues. Wasn’t sure if the synthetic blend was recommended or full synthetic. I’ve always done the 5K or 6 months as one vehicle doesn’t get a lot of highway.

I started using the computer for oil changes in my F150 once my prepaid services ran out. I've been changing my own oil based on the computer telling me when to do it for years now and haven't had an issue.

Now my brother who is a Shop foreman at his Ford dealership in Western Colorado does his every 3000 miles, but he only pays 10 bucks for an oil change LOL.

Wow 10 bucks…oil changes have definitely gone up at my local dealership. I use to change mine but the cost was reasonable as I rotate my tires every oil change. However now with cost what they are I may have to go back to doing it myself.

Yea I have ben doing it myself, and that 10 bucks is what employees and family pay at his dealership. Unfortunately he's about 2000 miles away for me to take advantage of that deal LOL

So I forgot my lunchbox in the Expedition last night and had to run out and grab it. The truck was locked up as it should be so I grabbed the key.
The proximity unlock worked as it should and I opened the rear glass grabbed my stuff and closed it. This is where the new trick came showed up. As I was about to lock it back up I noticed that once the rear hatch finish closing it locked itself back up without me doing anything.

I might just be easily impressed at this point, but I thought that was cool.
Also if there is a key in it, it won't lock up.

Kinda makes you wonder what the white board looked like when they were thinking this thing up.
